Music Mock Up Analysis;
The mock up that I have made for the music magazine cover has been heavily influenced by other magazines of the same genre and incorporates colours related with the music. The Masthead, OG, is a phrase used throughout the genre of hip-hop and will appeal to the audience. Whilst investigating other hip-hop magazines I noticed that the colour red appears often in the headlines and cover lines. I have stuck to conventional hip-hop magazine features especially as I am using only one main image on the cover which takes up most of the space of the magazine. The cover lines down in the bottom left is going to be set in a colour that will stand out from the background of the magazine. The gold in the masthead is related to the bling and gold worn by the aritsts.

Target Audience;
The intended audience for my magazine is predominantly male, black, 17-28 years of age. Their playlist on their phone or ipod is dominated by hip hop music and R&B. Working class background, enjoys parties and going to rap concerts to see their favourite rappers. They love to talk about the current rap artists with their friends and also have good knowledge of the history of rap artists. They perhaps like to watch gangster films and enjoy the violence involved with them. They enjoy a bit of a rebel lifestyle and drink and smoke regularly. They are also interested into producing their own rap songs or just like to rap with their friends for a laugh.

Photo shoot Planning
For the Photo Shoot I must choose my photos carefully making sure that they relate to the particular topic of the school magazine. For the topic I plan to be focusing on the lead student interviews going on in sixth form at the moment. I will be using a student as the main central image, with them wearing suits ready for their interview. I think I should have the model student standing in front of the sixth form building to represent that they are possibly in with a chance of representing the school for sixth form. I also plan to have a secondary image of students looking as if they are struggling with their studies around a table. This will be anchored with some text relating to the image.
